Learn about RGB, HEX, HSL, HSV, and CMYK Color Codes and Generate Them with PBconverter

Just input the colour name, and this PBconverter Color Converter tool will provide the colour code in all formats. The colour code is important in every design and program.

The PBconverter colour converter is a tool that allows the conversion of colours between different colour models, such as RGB, CMYK, HSV, and others. The purpose of a colour converter is to ensure that colours are accurately represented and displayed across different devices, media, and applications.

Why do you need a different type of colour code?

We use the colour combination when developing software or any program. In the below section, I will explain every colour code and the different types of colour codes that you can generate using PBconverter.

RGB:

RGB, or Red, Green, and Blue, is a colour code that represents a colour using three values: Red, Green, and Blue. Each value ranges from 0 to 255, representing the intensity of the corresponding colour component.

RGB is widely used in digital media, such as computer monitors, televisions, and cameras, to display colours. Combining these three colours can produce a wide range of colours, and RGB is the basis for many other colour models, such as HEX and HSL.

HEX:

HEX, or hexadecimal colour code, is a 6-digit code representing a colour using a combination of Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) values in hexadecimal format.

Each digit in a HEX code represents the intensity of the corresponding colour component, ranging from 00 (minimum) to FF (maximum).

For example, the HEX code #FF0000 represents pure red, #00FF00 represents pure green, and #0000FF represents pure blue.

HSL:

HSL, or hue, saturation, and lightness, is a colour code that represents a colour using three values: hue, saturation, and lightness. Hue represents the colour, saturation represents the intensity, and brightness represents the brightness of the colour.

The values for each component range from 0 to 360 degrees for Hue and 0% to 100% for Saturation and Lightness.

HSV:

HSV, or hue, saturation, and value, is another colour code that represents a colour using hue, saturation, and value.

Hue represents the colour, saturation represents the intensity of the colour, and the value represents the brightness of the colour. The values for each component range from 0 to 360 degrees for hue and 0% to 100% for saturation and value.

CMYK:

CMYK, or Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black, is a colour code used in print media that represents a colour using the following values: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. Each value represents the amount of ink required to create the colour.

The values range from 0% to 100%, where 0% represents no ink, and 100% represents full ink coverage. Combining these four colours can produce a wide range of colours in print media.
